When you arrive at the Schiphol Amsterdam airport you will go to the main hall after baggage pick up and customs. In the main hall you find shops etc but also the ticket counters for the NS (Dutch railway). You can buy a ticket to Utrecht Centraal which is € 7,30 for one way at the counter but also can use the ticket machines.
The traintrip will be approximately 31, 46 or 52 minutes depending on the intercity or stop train. Trains from Schiphol to Utrecht are at 15, 27, 45 and 51 after the hour. The trains of 27 and 51 after the hour are stoptrains and you have to change at Amsterdam-Zuid or Duivendrecht. At these stations be aware of thiefs during waiting and transfer, particularly for laptops !.
When you arrive at the Utrecht Centraal Station it is advised that you take a taxi to De Biltsche Hoek (Prices approx. € 20, -- in about 20 minutes) Do not take taxis straight from the Schiphol airport because they can be very expensive (sometimes more than € 100,--). The workshopwill be held at the CBS Fungal Biodiversity Centre which is about 2.7 km from the hotel. On April 26, 27, 28 and 29 there will be transportation from the Hotel to CBS.
